Magnets...

As believed, it was a shepherd called magnus who discovered magnet which so was named after him, 4oo0 years ago. But Chinese invented compass 4500 years ago(which of course was developed (much before than magnus could find) using magnetic technology) which they found along the Indus valley and yet the credit goes to the shepherd who just found it and did nothing much. We Indians had words in Sanskrit for molecules, ions, waves, electricity(saudhamini), they also had explanations for electric waves and magnetic waves (these were done thousands of years before) just because we didn’t project our ideas, scientific improvements and views to the world, thus weren’t recognized. We also had carbon nano technology for the sharpness of the swords being used and for many other reasons too…
